Transitioning from Founder to a New CEO

At a key growth and pivot point in their scaling trajectory and with ESG at the heart of their business, the Founder CEO and Board called on our expertise to help secure a successor CEO.

In late 2024, the Founder CEO and Board had arrived on a bold new 3-year strategic plan to scale their impact, which included the evolution of the leadership team.  

A critical cornerstone of the plan was to secure a new CEO, allowing the current Founder CEO to optimise their time on brand awareness, client partnership and growth. Excelerator Partners were asked to work empathetically with the team - the right appointment required everyone to think both inside and outside the box and run a robust and comprehensive process that ensured the transition was a success.  

Excelerator Partners worked with the Founder CEO and Board to design, develop and manage the process to secure a new CEO for Simply Sustainable.  

We emersed ourselves in the business and brought together a team from the Executive, Board and Management teams to be part of the selection process, and rigorously identified, attracted and assessed a diverse range of talent for the role. It was an incredible experience to work with Nicola and the Agathos team in such a collegiate and positive culture of change.
