We’ll achieve this by supporting entrepreneurs and CEOs to map, identify, acquire, connect and blend the levers and talented team that will accelerate their business’s growth and success; by helping Investors support their portfolio businesses to realise their full potential and maximise impact and value; and by creating opportunities for exceptional talent through diverse, fulfilling portfolio careers.
Although we formally launch Excelerator Partners today, our story began nearly a year ago and has been shaped through the convergence of shared passions for entrepreneurship, scaling businesses, talent, and diversity of thought - all of which glue our founding team together.
It was from here that we identified a compelling market need where we could really make a difference. We’ve since designed an innovative solution to address that need and have started delivering to our mission with some incredible clients.

The inspirational Sam Smith, our Strategic Adviser, has built a phenomenal scale-up business in finnCap, she was one of the founders of the ScaleUp Institute, and now champions and supports the entire UK scale-up ecosystem.
Cate Poulson our COO, has been at the heart of the UK scale-up eco-system as a market pioneer supporting hundreds of BGF’s portfolio businesses to build incredible leadership teams and business success.
Mark Widnall, our CFO, has developed an incredible range of expertise invaluable to scaling businesses from Finance to M&A to Tech and Ops, and understands the unique challenges and successful pathways of all stages of a company’s journey.
Clair Bush, our CMO, is not only an exceptional strategic marketer who has built a dynamic career helping start-ups and scale-ups, but is also personally leading the charge in representing the value, variety and enjoyment of a portfolio career.
I’ve had the incredibly good fortune to be part of the leadership team that took AMS from a start-up to a $billion global business, and subsequently had the privilege of supporting scale-ups with their growth trajectory. And now, together we launch Excelerator Partners.
Our intention is to shift the dial for the scale-up ecosystem - entrepreneurs, CEOs, Boards, investors, and talented portfolio career individuals. And in doing so, to always be empathetic, after all, we’re also a scaling business - we truly are walking the pathways with our clients.
Ultimately, we’ll judge our success by the opportunity and value we’ve helped others create.

As both an intrapreneur and entrepreneur, Suzy has launched and accelerated growth in several PE & Founder backed businesses. As part of the founding leadership team of global talent firm AMS, together they grew the business through 4 highly successful management buy-outs to a $1.1billion valuation in 2018. Having since built a varied portfolio career as a Board & Strategic Advisor to scaling businesses, in 2023 Suzy identified a value creation gap in the scale-up eco-system and founded Excelerator Partners.
